These dishes are made by hand-building a Nerikomi block of stained stoneware clay. Nerikomi is a Japanese technique of layering coloured clays. I collect rocks and drape the clay over them to create a mold. The keepers are unglazed and polished to a silky texture. These keepers are for jewelry, keys, change, etc. Jewelry not included.
